DP leader Sali Berisha and President Ilir Meta will work closely together, as the latter's term ends on July 24.

This was stated by the PD MP Tritan Shehu, where in an interview with the media he said that Ilir Meta will be their main ally to prepare an opposition front.

In the show "Studio Live", the deputy said that there will be no merging of the two parties into one, as the DP according to him remains the largest opposition party in the country.

"The opposition PD has started to move strongly. It will be an even better dialogue with our opposition allies. I do not see a merger of the SMI and the PD, they are separate political forces. There will be close cooperation to create an opposition front to oppose this regime. Without excluding the SMI, important and strong already in the opposition space.
