The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has again raised the alarm about the departure of young people from the country, during the meeting he is holding with the residents of Shijak.

Berisha said that Albania is in crisis due to abandonment and blamed the Government for this.

The former prime minister declared that today's regime has killed the hope of the citizens and brought the belief that Albania cannot be made by Albanians.

“Sot Shijaku dhe mbarë Shqipëria, përjetojnë një periudhë krize të vërtetë, të thellë, e cila shprehet me një braktisje të pashembullt të vendit, Shijakut dhe Shqipërisë nga qytetarët e vendit. Kjo braktisje në të vërtetë është shumë më e dhimbshme, e hidhur, se sa ajo që ndodhi në vitin 1991. Është shumë më e dhimbshme dhe e hidhur, sepse në vitin 1991, ne jemi dëshmitarë, ne vërtetë fituam lirinë, por ishim nën tiraninë e tmerrshme të mjerimit.

Qytetarët shqiptarë në vitin 1991, ishin qytetarët e tretë më të varfër të planetit. Vinin pas qytetarëve të Ugandës dhe Angolës.
