The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was asked in a television appearance what will happen to the Justice Reform and whether he will dissolve SPAK if he comes to power on May 11.

Berisha stated that if the opposition comes to power there will be changes to the Justice Reform.

He also said that there will be no restrictions in terms of the fight against corruption, but will clean up prosecutors, who according to him are sleeping on crime files.

The leader of the Democratic Party also said that all these changes will be made with the help of the Venice Commission.


"I think that in all the competencies, one is unconstitutional, it is the wiretapping of judges in which this prosecutor's office is handling files. It is a terrible thing and the destruction of the system will not be. No narrowing in terms of the fight against corruption, but the cleansing of those who sleep on criminal files. These reforms will be carried out with the help of the Venice Commission," Berisha declared./CNA
