The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, through a message, congratulated the Albanian citizens on May 9, Europe Day, while he raised accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In his message, Berisha says that the road to the EU until 2013 was unstoppable due to the reforms carried out.

But according to him, in 2013 Edi Rama came to power, and the road to Europe stopped because of the government's connections with crime, drugs, corruption and theft.

Dear citizens!

Today is May 9, Europe Day.

On this day, the nations of the member countries of the European Union celebrate the day of the Schuman declaration, or the declaration with which the most fascinating, grandest, most beautiful dream of the European nations, their unification into one, began.

On May 9, 1950, Robert Schuman, then Foreign Minister of France, in his statement proposed the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community, this founding moment of the European Union, of the European project.

In the years and decades that followed, the dream that began on May 9, 1950 turned into the greatest miracle that Europe has known in its history.

This project reconciled France and Germany.

It guaranteed for the peoples of Europe, the most stable peace, the most vibrant democracy, the freedoms and human rights of the citizens of the member countries more guaranteed than ever before, their growing prosperity and the most unprecedented solidarity between these nations.

Albania's path towards the European project has not been and is not an easy path, but it is a path that undoubtedly leads to a better future for Albanians.

Until 2013 this was an unstoppable road.

In 2006, Albania signed the Stabilization-Association Agreement, ratified it in the 27 EU member states.

After that, Albania submitted the application for EU membership, managed to liberalize visas and met de facto all the conditions for the status of a candidate country, a status that was blocked for 2 years by Edi Rama for the voting of three laws for which there was a full agreement, and the advisers of Fier, but a status that was decided immediately after the 2013 elections.

But with the arrival of the sect, or Edi Rama and his revivalists in power, every day on the path of integration in the European Union of Albania, the terrible walls of corruption, drugs and organized crime were raised, thickened and elevated.

Violation of freedoms and human rights, the election process and a series of other problems.

All this forced the EU to postpone not once the announced opening of negotiations for Albania, but to postpone it from 2016 to 2021, 5 times.

In addition, and after the decision was taken in principle to open negotiations with Albania, in order to move to the decision to open negotiations with chapters, which is the real opening of negotiations, Albania postponed this date three times.

My friends!

Today, Albania resembles a man who, after opening the door, slams his head with the door, because he has done great wrongs and they are afraid to accept him in the house.

They are afraid because the European Union is the club of free nations, of people who vote freely, and not of monist countries, of monist cliques, which block rotation with the mechanism of turning crime into vote and vote into crime.

They are afraid because Albania is the champion country of violating the freedoms and rights of citizens, of robbing the free vote, of arresting political leaders of opposition parties only for political reasons.

They are afraid because Albanian monism is based on the alliance of power with crime, theft, drugs.

They fear a black hole of their funds with the acceptance of Albania in their bosom.

The European Union is the club of nations that prosper from year to year, that prosper from year to year.

Albania is the only country in Europe where citizens get poorer year by year.

In 2013, they were the citizens with the highest votes in the Region.

Today, due to the unrestrained theft of public funds and natural assets of Albania by Edi Rama's government, they are impoverished or have lower salaries than all other nations in the region.

So all these are a dedication, they are an appeal to every Albanian, to stand up and scale with civil disobedience the doors closed by crime, the rampant theft of the governors, the violation of the vote, drugs that have transformed Albania into the Colombia of Europe.

Let's stand up to open the doors and the path towards Albania's membership in the European Union as the most brilliant future for Albania, the Albanians, our nation.

In conclusion, I want to express my boundless gratitude to the peoples of the EU member countries, for their generosity, their extraordinary solidarity that they have shown in these decades for Albania and the Albanians, and I want to wish you this day, a blessed day for all over Europe.
