The DP candidate of Lulzim Basha, Roland Bejko, took Enkelejd Alibeaj to his defense after the latter resigned from the command at the head of the DP.

He said that it was a fair decision, for which Alibeaj did not consult with anyone in order not to be influenced.

"Alibeaj did not consult with anyone about the resignation. I had a call with him a few hours after he resigned and the reason was that he didn't want to be influenced by anyone.

We have been in a battle for a year and a half, so far it seems that DP is still breathing. It is a wounded body because it was a big party and of course it has fallen to these levels, as a result I think that Alibeaj has done the right thing because it was predicted that the elections for the president should have been held a year ago, but the intensity of the situation made him take the party to the polls.

It is not a secret for the public, there comes a moment when the political developments within the party must be known to the public, transparency must be made. Alibeaj was in a difficult situation because the position of the group and the presidency were in conflict", he said.

Further, Bejko accused Gazmend Bardhi and Jorida Tabaku, as he said that they did not help the DP in the campaign.

"The General Secretary helped the candidate for the pulpit and the vice-president did not appear for a day in the campaign. One weekend they had captured both mountains. I was campaigning, the lady in question posted exotic photos from Bjeshke and Namuna.

I have not removed the stress of the campaign either with the political opponents or with the citizens, but I have spent whole nights without sleep because of the obstacles that came to us from within the party.
