The final result in Tirana/ SP "hijacks" the Municipal Council, DP of Basha is running for 4 mandates

The Central Election Commission has published the final results of the votes for the Municipal Council of Tirana.

According to official data, the SP has received the majority of councilor mandates in Tirana.

Specifically, the socialists won 34 mandates, while the opposition coalition "Bashke Fitomje" won 15 mandates, i.e. 19 mandates less than the SP.

Basha's DP, which was massively abandoned by the citizens in these elections, won only 4 mandates, while the Social Democratic Party got 3 mandates.

Citizens have also trusted the Joint Movement, Nisma Thurje, PDIU, LZHK and the Republican Party from one mandate.

There were a total of 941 polling stations in Tirana. As for the mayor, the winner of the race with 6 candidates was Erion Veliaj of the SP./ CNA.al
