Enkelejd Alibeaj, the commanding chairman of the DP, who was not elected to this post by election, came out today and announced that he has resigned.

Regarding this issue, the deputy of Lulzim Basha, Gazment Bardhi, reacted.

He said that he called the vice president of the seal party, Jorida Tabaku, to an "urgent" work meeting. Also, the deputy declared that he will convene the National Council.

"After I became familiar with the statement of the Vice President of the Party, Mr. Enkelejd Alibeaj, who exercises the responsibility of the leader of the Party, that he renounces the exercise of this responsibility and the duty of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group, I called to an urgent working meeting to discuss the situation the Vice-President of the Party Mrs. Jorida Tabaku, to assess the implementation of Article 46 of the Statute, in this transitional period.

According to Article 46 of the Statute, in the prolonged absence of the chairman and with his authorization, one of them replaces the Chairman.
