Prime Minister Edi Rama in this Saturday's podcast, during a conversation with the Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption, Adea Pirdeni, focused on the opening of negotiations for the group-chapter "Fundamentals". Rama spoke about the importance of this process.

Prime Minister Edi Rama considered the union with Europe as a two-lane road, the daily work lane of reforms, as well as the political lane. According to Rama, Albania has done the tasks for opening the negotiations, but the door has often remained closed by the EU.

"My objective since the first day has been 2030. Union with Europe is a two-lane road: the daily work lane of reforms, measures and factual and technical assessments that are made in the European Commission and it is the political lane, because it is a family policy that decides beyond those that are objective criteria", said Rama.

Meanwhile, Pirdeni revealed how he was invited to become part of the Albanian team that would represent Albania in this process.

The interlocutors have considered the opening of negotiations for the first group-chapter with the European Union as a very important moment, while Rama added that the deadline set by him is 2030./ CNA
