Basha creates an alibi for the Electoral Reform

The Electoral Reform Commission has been one of the hot debates of these days in politics.

Lulzim Basha also spoke about this issue in his conference with journalists.

But in order to avoid the open service he has done to Prime Minister Edi Rama in the case of the Electoral Reform Commission, he created an alibi.

Basha raised claims that Rama and the opposition are creating tensions to divert attention from essential issues for Albanians.

The third issue is Electoral Reform. The Theater of Electoral Reform, with the help of the director of this show, Edi Rama, has taken on ridiculous dimensions this week. This week, dear Albanian citizens, have you heard any questions addressed to other political actors whether they are for open lists or against open lists? In the function of this plot, what is called a game of smoke and mirrors is naturally created. All kinds of debates are opened to divert your attention from the essence. It is 2024, January 2024, according to the electoral code, the elections will take place no later than the spring of 2025. And now is the time to engage in such a debate in society and to make decisions about an electoral system that at least guarantees on paper equal rules of the game and transparent representation of citizens' votes.

In 24 hours if you make the rounds of the media, including the evening shows, everything is discussed, except for these issues. These are essential issues of citizens' interest. Therefore, the attempt to remove us from these issues somewhere with smoke and mirrors, and somewhere with shows like the one this morning, will not succeed.
