The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, held a meeting this Friday with the coordinator of the British government for illegal immigration, Stuart Skeates.

Through a status on social networks, Balla states that the cases of illegal Albanian immigrants have decreased up to 92%, compared to last year.

He states that the drastic reduction of illegal immigrants has come as a result of the joint work of the Albanian and British law enforcement agencies.

"The results of the joint work of the Albanian and British law enforcement agencies in dealing with illegal immigration are significant, where a drastic reduction of up to 92% of cases of illegal Albanian immigrants has been recorded, compared to last year. The British Government appreciates the cooperation with the Albanian Government in achieving these results as excellent.

The most meaningful example is the case of the immediate repatriation of 5 illegal immigrants who arrived on British shores last Sunday and their return to Albania on Thursday.

We will deepen and extend the experience gained in this joint Task Force in the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking.
