Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has warned that opposition action will be intensified and the road to referendums will be opened. During the conversation with the citizens, Berrisha said that the goal is to create a powerful popular movement that no dictatorship will be able to resist.

" Every day, every citizen, oppositionist or not, but an honest person, who sees his country, where the vote has no value, where the court has no justice, where the opposition is politically executed in the parliament, should think about what he wants to do to save Albania. What will he engage in, what contribution will he make? I am convinced that in this way we will achieve a powerful popular movement, in a hurricane that no dictatorship can withstand. This is our aim. We have declared war without return. Constitutional amendments require a non-simple quorum. I want the road to referendums to be opened, de juro yes, but de facto they are unfeasible. We will fight to make referendums workable and then put any change the public wants to a referendum. Every democrat, democrat, oppositionist, must swear by his irrevocable determination, his irrevocable contribution against this dictatorship. In 1991, we overthrew a dictatorship, precisely because we stayed in the battle without return, because we managed to unite young people, men, women, girls, boys, and the elderly against it. And this is happening now" - said Berisha.

Likewise, the chairman of the Democratic Party said that the opposition MPs will remain undefeated where they are mandated, so he asked the citizens to support the latter.

Berisha's statement comes after several weeks, after the majority's refusal to accept the request of the opposition MPs for the establishment of eight investigative commissions, the opposition MPs have started an action preventing the development of the parliamentary commissions and the sessions of the Assembly./ CNA
