The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has promised that as soon as he comes to power, the first decision will be the approval of the minimum wage. Berisha said that this is a completely feasible promise and that through this decision the low pensions, economic aid and extreme poverty will be doubled.

"I guarantee that the first steps will be the establishment of the living minimum, which answers all the problems of low pensions, doubles them, increases the economic aid by 2 and a half times, eradicates extreme poverty. So will he settle? It is one of the first acts that will be established. There is no difficulty for Albania to put it today. This promise of mine is an opportunity, in 2013 I promised to double the salaries of teachers, it was difficult, but they became a reality, while this of the vital minimum of 200 euros as set by the Ombudsman is more feasible." - said Berisha.
