Did electoral incidents and problems affect the outcome of May 11?

After the completion of the voting process and with the data so far from the May 11 parliamentary elections, what is noticeable is the result at the national level.

During the 24 hours of these processes, there were certain problems, as tensions and incidents were recorded in several areas of the country, such as Tirana, Vora, Lushnja, Pogradec and partial blockages in Dropull.

All are under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office and police authorities have escorted several people, including 3 people after the incident near the "Petro Nini Luarasi" high school in an illegal office, 2 people in Pogradec, while a party representative was processed at large due to the tensions in Vora.

Also, several cases of photographing ballots and votes for suspicious reasons were noted, which resulted in the escorting and handcuffing of several citizens in areas in Tirana and Elbasan.

In the end, only one question arises: do these issues undermine the credibility of the election result?

A cold mind would say no . And this is not only because the socialists' victory is profound.

It's not that it was unexpected, but rather because such issues will carry very little, if any, weight in the final outcome of the elections.

What is important is that the problems are so small that they do not affect the final result. And these elections showed that the problems found do not affect or do not give a different verdict than the one given by the sovereign./CNA
