Glory to the men who elevated our nation

Today we mark a significant and historic day for nations, an event that remembers the courage and sacrifice of these brave and good, patriotic, noble people of Dibra who, with their work, elevated humanity, the Albanian nation, in the global constellation.

Today, the civilized world has turned this date into a symbolic day of world memory, so as not to forget the crimes that happened to humanity in World War II. Albania could not miss the contribution of Dibra in the protection of human lives. Dibra, the province that has always been in the assembly of the future of our beloved homeland.

It was here, on this road, in the winter of 1943, that the patriot Imer Ndregjoni would receive from the patriots of Tirana, Xhemal Herri and Avdulla Mëniku, the Jewish family of Emanuel Rubeni, consisting of 7 people who had come from Belgrade to Tirana.

The Albanian's oath is an oath that his house belongs to his friend and to God. And so the two-day journey would continue from this place towards the beautiful and wild village of the Katërgrykëve of Dibra, Lukani facing the Runjë mountain, surrounded by centuries-old forests of Vanas and Bunga. There, the Captain, the fighter against the Serbs, wounded by this centuries-old enemy, the prominent man of Lukani and the Katërgrykëve Llan Ndregjoni, would await them in his three-story house.

But the entire Ndregjon tribe would be at the service of the Jews, the entire Lukan village, the Brucet, Dervisht, Ndreka and Buci tribes, the Totraks and Llesht, the Losht and Koks and Bushes. But the entire Katërgryk region with Qafmurra, Selishta, Kacni, all were ready to save the friends who had settled with the Ndregjons.

And at the end of 1945, this family was proudly kept by Trimi i Qafmurrës, the hospitable and humane Ramadan Biba in the old village of Murrës and who accompanied them to Tirana where they went to the place from which they had come. And thus ended this story of resistance and humanity. Gratitude to the Katërgrykëve of Dibra, for the protection they gave to the Jews!

Honor to those men and women who shared bread and food with distant friends, but sought after by German Nazism, gratitude to these men and women who became part of the defense of their friends. I am proud to be a Lukanjak, a Katërgrykas, a Dibrani.

The Ndregjonët, Biba and Katërgrykët glorified Dibra for these national values. We honor this day because it is a testament to the glory of the Albanian nation and its resistance to any invader, regardless of the regime and ideology that might be imposed on us. We sacrificed to secure the freedom and lives of the Jews, but with the departure of the Nazi troops, we found ourselves as nations facing a savage dictatorship like Nazism, the dictatorship of the criminal Enver Hoxha.

What happened to these resistance fighters, humanists, and nobles of Dibra?

Patrioti Llan Ndregjoni do të vritej në vitin 1946 në përpjekje me kriminelin Shefqet Peçi, do t’i vrisnin djalin Xhevitin, 18-vjeçar, dhe djalin e xhaxhit Xhetanin, 24-vjeçar, atë kullë që kishte mbrojtje. Hebrenjtë, barbarët komunistë do ta digjnin si kullën e armikut të komunistëve.

Ramadan Bibën së bashku me Imer Ndregjonin do t’i arrestonin dhe do t’i dënonin me dhjetëra vite burg, duke i dërguar në kënetën e Vloqishtit në Korçë ku do të dilnin të sakatuar nga ai kulak ku kryheshin tortura çnjerëzore. Dhe ne trashëgimtarët e tyre do të provonim luftën e klasave, një torturë çnjerëzore që vetëm komunizmi enverist shqiptar e provuam.

Ne antikomunistët fisnikët shqiptarë provuam dhe mbas pluralizmit një përçundim të kësaj klase politike. Askush nuk e ka çuar ndërmend se 35 vite më vonë pasardhësit e Byrosë Politike do të drejtojnë vendin, do të kenë në dorë ekonominë do të bënin ligje dhe do të vijonin të vendosnin fatin e shqiptarëve.

Askush nuk e mendonte se drejtuesi i Partisë që ekzekutoi Llan Ndregjoni, dënoi me dhjetëra vite burg Ramadan Bibën dhe Imer Ndregjonin, do të ishte sot në Izrael duke folur për antisemitizmin, pa i nderuar këta burra që nderuan Shqipërinë, dhe pa u kërkuar falje për ekzekutimet dhe burgimet që u kishte bërë partia e tij.

Askush nuk e kishte menduar se 6000 shqiptarë s’do të kishin një varr në tokën e tyre se partia që i zhduki do të sundonte me pasardhësit e enveristëve.

Askush s’e kishte menduar se Partia e parë opozitare që u krijua në dhjetor të ‘90 do të i bashkohej partisë sunduese, rilindjes komuniste, që të mos i dënonte krimet e komunizmit siç bëri Europa.

Nuk mund të ndërtohet demokracia me muratorë të ferrit komunist, nuk mund të mbrohet liria me dhunuesit e të drejtave të njeriut.

Sot flitet për drejtësi për dëshmorët e partisë, dhe jo për vlerat e larta të kombit shqiptar siç janë këto dibranë trima e fisnikë.

Po e mbyll fjalën time me një shprehje të Martin Luter Kingut: “Një padrejtësi në çfarëdo vendi është një kërcënim për drejtësinë kudo!”/ CNA
