Tried to kill a person with a car/ 40-year-old man wanted

A 40-year-old man in the city of Durres has been declared wanted after he attempted to kill a 55-year-old man with a car.

After hitting him with his car, he left him on the road in a serious condition and drove away.

 

" He hit a 55-year-old man with a vehicle, seriously injuring him, and left the scene. After intensive investigative actions, the driver of the vehicle was identified and declared wanted.

 

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the 40-year-old attempted to kill the 55-year-old with a vehicle.

 

Searches continue to locate, capture and arrest the 40-year-old, as well as to find and seize the vehicle with which he severely hit the 55-year-old.

 

On 24.09.2025, at around 19:54, on "Vala e Detit" street, Durrës, an unidentified vehicle hit the pedestrian, citizen AK, alias BK, 55 years old, resident of Durrës.

 

The driver of the vehicle, after hitting the 55-year-old, immediately left the scene, along with the vehicle.

 

Upon receiving the notification, the Traffic Police services immediately went to the scene.

 

Traffic Police Specialists, in cooperation with the investigative group and Serious Crime Specialists of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, intensified actions to identify, capture and arrest the driver of the vehicle.

 

As a result of intensive actions, it turned out that the "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle, owned by citizen AB, 40 years old, born and residing in Shijak, hit the 55-year-old man and then left the scene.

 

The Police Services, after conducting checks, have declared citizen AB wanted, along with the vehicle.

 

Citizen AK, alias BK, has been transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for more specialized assistance and is in serious condition due to the injuries he sustained.

 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions, for the criminal offense of "Premeditated Murder", remaining in the attempted stage "/ CNA
