The Guinness Book of Records has named the "1001 Nights Diamond Purse" as the most expensive bag in the world.

The diamond-encrusted bag, worth an estimated $4 million, was on display at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition two weekends ago, where its high price set the record for the world's most expensive handbag.

Ten artisans put in 11,000 hours of work over four months to create the heart-shaped bag, which is made up of 4,517 diamonds.

Crafted from 18-karat gold, this heart-shaped masterpiece features 4,517 diamonds, including 105 yellow, 56 pink and 4,356 colorless stones. Artisans spent 8,800 hours creating it. Mouawad showcased this dazzling bag at the auction preview, cementing its legacy as a one-of-a-kind luxury marvel.
