The Mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, has become part of the Llazar Fundo Scientific Symposium, a prominent figure of Albanian and European thought.

Filo, in his welcoming speech, emphasized that Llazar Fundo was a first-class intellectual, idealist, patriot, and courageous man.

He emphasized that Lazar Fundo is the man who, along with other prisoners on the island of Italy, became the drafter of Ventotene, one of the foundations of the EU that we aspire to join soon.

"He is undoubtedly one of the most important personalities of the 20th century, not only for Korça but also for Albania."

He was a first-class intellectual, a patriot, an idealist, and a courageous man.

Zai Fundo was a patriot who joined the resistance and the anti-fascist war. He was an idealist and therefore represented the ideal of theoretical communism, he was also very courageous and became an anti-communist.
