British Culture Week/ “Vila 31” welcomes performances by foreign artists

2025-11-18 17:32:00, Kulturë CNA

Villa 31 in Tirana, where former dictator Hoxha lived, has been turned into a mecca that unites Albanian and British culture. 35 years ago it was forbidden to look from the street at the dictator's villa and no one would have thought that in the courtyard where he took his evening strolls, live music groups from Great Britain and Albania would perform.

Invited by the British Council in Albania to celebrate British Culture Week, Cassius Cobbson, the renowned producer who performs on several instruments, shared his emotions with the CNA editorial team in front of the Albanian public.

"This is my first time here in Albania and I really appreciate holding the concert in Tirana with this loving audience. I was invited by the British Council to celebrate the week of British culture in Albania. And I am very grateful that they chose me. Our performance was well-received and we wanted to create a festive atmosphere. Our concert was vibrant, emotional, entertaining and I am happy to be part of this loving audience and with faith in God I hope that I have managed to please as many of those who followed me during the performance as possible and that they have enjoyed our show", said the renowned producer Cassius Cobbson.

The well-known artist in his musical genre, Cassius Cobbson, also conveyed a message about Albania-Britain friendship.

"More love, love will be what will bless our two countries," said Cobbson.

The musical groups Altin Gjoni Rock and Salma Soul also performed at Villa 31, entertaining the audience with a combination of classic hits and original compositions, challenging music genres./ CNA
