He stole money from his former employer/ 30-year-old Albanian arrested in Ragusa

State Police officers from the Ragusa Police Headquarters Squad in Italy arrested a 30-year-old Albanian man, who was caught red-handed while committing a serious extortion.

The case stems from a complaint filed by a local farmer, the suspect's former employer, who reported being subjected to repeated extortion demands from the citizen for more than two years.

The amounts demanded ranged from 2,500 to 4,000 euros, at intervals of 30-40 days, and were accompanied by clear threats of physical harm or damage to the company's agricultural vehicles.

Therefore, a targeted service was set up for the controlled delivery of the money that was the subject of the latest extortion request, worth 1,400 euros. The operation took place in a parking lot next to a well-known bar in the province, in the presence of personnel from the Squad and the Forensic Police, who documented the encounter.

The Albanian was stopped immediately after receiving the money and arrested in flagrante delicto.

After completing the formalities, the suspect was taken to the Ragusa Prison, where he was made available to the Public Prosecution Office at the Ragusa Court. /CNA
