The Institute of Forensic Medicine has completed the forensic examination of 42-year-old Egli Proga, who was beaten to death on August 10 in a bar in Pogradec.

The expert report describes the injuries found on the victim's body, on the forehead, nose, ear, cheek, and left shoulder, which, according to experts, were caused by a sharp tool and a punch. 

According to the expert report, the cause of death of the 42-year-old is: "hemorrhage in the brain membrane and hemorrhage of the brain tissue".

"In the victim's blood sample, the presence of ethyl alcohol was detected at an average value of 2.82 g/L", it is further stated in the report-expertise.

The forensic report has been sent to the Korca Prosecutor's Office, which is continuing the investigation into the murder of Egli Proga.

The police arrested Denis Meçe as the author of the murder, on the charge of intentional murder, and prosecuted Voltan Shkulaku, Leonidha Guçe and Arjan Manellari for not reporting the crime.

But the Prosecutor's Office of Korça, in the session for setting the security measure, reduced the charge against Denis Meçe from intentional homicide to manslaughter, which brought a clash between the police and the Prosecutor's Office of Korça./CNA
