The Tirana police have arrested the 28-year-old with the initials AM, who was caught armed while driving a car near Casa-Italia. 

The firearm was found during a search of the young man's bag. 

Police notification:

In implementation of certain measures in the "Rule of Law" operational plan, to crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, the coded police operation "Road" is finalized.

The operation was carried out by the Special Force Sector "Shqiponja" in cooperation with Police Station No. 6.

1 firearm, pistol, comb and combat ammunition were seized, the owner was put in handcuffs.

The services of the Special Force Sector "Eqiponja", in cooperation with Police Station No. 6, following the work to prevent and combat criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the information obtained on the operative route that an armed citizen was driving around Casa Italia in a "Ford" type vehicle, organized the work and successfully completed the coded police operation "Road".

As a result of this operation, citizen AM, 28 years old, resident of Valias, was arrested in the act.

Police services in the vicinity of Casa Italia stopped the vehicle driven by citizen AM. During the search of the bag of the 28-year-old, the police services found and seized, as material evidence, a firearm, pistol, comb and combat ammunition. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office. /CNA
