The police has issued an official announcement regarding the serious crime in Shënavlash of Durrës, where the boy killed his father.

The Blues inform that three weeks ago, the 30-year-old with the initials EB reported to the police the disappearance of his 62-year-old father, with the initials EB

In order to lose track, he had stated that his father had left with an unknown woman and that he had doubts that she might have executed him.

On the other hand, his brother with the initials AB had stated to the police that a woman had written to him on "Instagram" and had told him not to look for his father, as according to him they were on vacation.

However, after three weeks of investigation and research, it turned out that the young man had killed his father with a pistol and thrown him into a well.

The police arrested the 30-year-old EB and seized the crime weapon.

After an intensive investigative work carried out by the Serious Crimes Investigation Department, the Cybercrime Investigation Department at the Durrës Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Cybercrime Investigation Department at the Criminal Police Department of the State Police and the Prosecutor's Office near the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, it became possible to identify and capture the perpetrator of the murder of citizen EB, 62 years old.

Citizen EB, 30 years old, resident of the village of Shënavlash, Durrës, reported to the Durrës Police Station, that since the morning of 13.08.2024, his father, citizen EB, 62 years old, resident of the village of Shënavlash, had left the apartment, with a citizen unknown to him, and after this moment, the 30-year-old had cut off contact with his father and could no longer contact him.

Also, this citizen stated that he suspected that this citizen could have killed his father and that the 62-year-old had no reason to leave the apartment.

The other son of citizen EB, citizen AB, after being informed that his father had left the apartment, returned from Italy and reported to the Police that he received a message on the Instagram social network from a citizen unknown to him. In the message, it was said that the family members should not look for the 62-year-old, as he had left on vacation.

The investigative structures of DVP Durrës, being in front of these facts, have intensified the investigations and searches, after suspicions arose that we were dealing with a crime within the family.

As a result of intensive actions, it became possible to unravel the incident, capture and arrest the son of the EB citizen, specifically the EB citizen, 30 years old, who has admitted the authorship of this crime, after a conflict he had with his father over an amount of lek ( 7,500,000 new lek, joint family savings) that he suspected the 62-year-old had stolen from him.

The 30-year-old, on 13.08.2024, near their home in the fields of the village of Shënavlash, after having a physical conflict with his father, killed him with a pistol-type firearm.

He threw the crime weapon into a canal, while the father's body was transported and thrown into a well in a field of this village, about 1 kilometer away from the scene.

The investigative team found the body of the citizen E.B., and seized the pistol-type firearm, the open safe with hard items, where the 30-year-old man kept the money, and other evidence related to the incident.

The body of the citizen EB was transported to the Morgue of the Durrës hospital for a medical-legal examination.

The Investigative Structures of the Local Directorate of the Durrës Police in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office continue the investigative actions for the clarification and full documentation of this event.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office, for further actions for the criminal offenses "Murder due to family relations", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Hiding and disposing of a corpse"./ CNA
