A Turkish citizen with the initials YH, 50 years old, is extradited from Georgia. The latter is accused by the GjKKO, that during the period 2020-2021, he was a member of a structured criminal group that illegally transported immigrants, mainly to Italy, by boat.

In 2022, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned the 50-year-old the security measure of "Prison arrest" for the criminal offense of "Aiding illegal border crossing", committed within the framework of organized criminal group.

Police notification: 

State Police/The operation "Before justice" continues, 1 Turkish citizen is extradited from Georgia.

The extradited person is accused by the GjKKO, that during the period 2020-2021, he was a member of a structured criminal group that illegally transported immigrants, mainly to Italy, by boat.

As a result of the coordination of actions with counterparts in Georgia, Interpol Tirana finalized the procedure for the extradition to Albania of the Turkish citizen, internationally wanted, YH, 50 years old.
