A 28-year-old woman was brutally raped by her husband in the premises of their home, in the town of Maliqi.

According to the information, the couple had a verbal argument and then the husband with the initials EZ punched his wife, causing damage to her face. The young woman's father-in-law was also involved in the conflict, which is suspected to be motivated by jealousy, who also, together with his son, abused the 28-year-old.

The neighbors heard the screams of the 28-year-old woman and notified the police of Maliqi, who in a few minutes entered the apartment, preventing the escalation of the conflict, which could have had even more serious consequences for the young woman.

The police arrested the 31-year-old husband in the act, filed by the police as a drug user, and proceeded to release his father, while the 28-year-old woman was provided with an immediate protection order.

In the span of 24 hours, this is the second case of brutal violence against women in the Southeast./ CNA
