Serious incident in Korçë/ The man doused his ex-wife with gasoline

A serious incident happened this Saturday afternoon in the city of Korça. A citizen with the initials BT, 45 years old, is said to have thrown fuel on her body, and then set fire to his ex-wife, a citizen with the initials MT. The incident took place in district no. 2, Korçë on the street. It is learned that the woman was urgently sent to the city hospital to receive medical help, while her health condition is still unknown.

After arriving at the scene, the police pursued the perpetrator, who fled. It is also known that the couple was in the process of divorce. Meanwhile, according to the latest information, the injured woman is preparing to go to the plastic department in Tirana, after she received multiple burns on her body.

Police Notification:

Around 16:30, in neighborhood no. 2, Korçë, on the street, citizen BT, 45 years old, tried to burn his wife (in the process of divorce and currently living apart), citizen MT, 31 years old, with gasoline.

The citizen BT, after throwing fuel on the body of the citizen MT and lighting it, quickly left.

As a result, the MT citizen suffered burns on her body and was immediately sent to the hospital for medical assistance.

The Police Services have been in pursuit of the 45-year-old.

The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and the legal documentation of the case.
