The State Police takes stock of the month of August/ 105 operations, 560

Uninterrupted work of all State Police structures, based on police intelligence and investigations with proactive methods, to combat criminal activities, guarantee public safety and the smooth running of the tourist season.

The nationwide operational plans "Clean Territory", "Rule of Law", "Temple", "Before Justice", "Maritime Safety" and "Free Beach" have continued with intensity during this month.

Within them, throughout the territory of the country:

- 105 police operations were finalized and 560 suspected perpetrators of various criminal offenses were arrested. 70 of them were nationally wanted;

- in cooperation with partners, within the coded operation "Before Justice", 25 citizens declared internationally wanted were captured and/or extradited, inside and outside Albania;

-during the nationwide operations, 39 firearms, 7 shotguns, 3 silencers, detonator capsules, fuses, and police equipment were seized; 6 kg of cannabis sativa, hundreds of doses of cannabis, cocaine and heroin, and 54,380 cannabis sativa plants and seedlings were destroyed;

- a criminal group that trafficked firearms from Albania to the United Kingdom, was hit thanks to the cooperation between the Albanian and British law enforcement authorities. 3 members of the group were put in handcuffs, while efforts are being made to capture the other 3. 25 firearms were seized;

- 3 murders that could have been committed with firearms/cold weapons were prevented, as well as the escalation of 6 conflicts that could have serious consequences were prevented;

- the murder with a cutting tool of a 72-year-old man in Memaliaj has been revealed. Professional investigative actions led to the arrest of the 3 citizens involved in this event;

- 2 attempted murders, several burnings of vehicles/properties, 1 explosion with explosives and an accident resulting in death were revealed;

- 62 cases of online stalking, committed by a 34-year-old man arrested in France, as well as another case of online stalking by a citizen already arrested by Tirana Police, which caused the removal of a minor from the apartment;

- 60 cases of theft were solved, 12 of them were bags/wallets of tourists;

- 183 vessels were blocked, by the Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit, for violating the security perimeter designated for navigation and/or for lack of documents. The drivers of these vehicles were punished with administrative measures ranging from 10,000 ALL to 110,000 ALL;

- 1075 umbrellas and sunbeds were seized, placed without permission and encroaching on the public space on the beaches of Vlorë district;

- there was intervention in 13 bars that had played music, exceeding the level and schedule established by law. The administrators of these entities were prosecuted at large, and the devices that generated the music were seized;

- 32 cases of intentional or negligent arson were immediately reacted to. Their authors have been identified and brought before criminal responsibility;

-help was given in 10 cases, to 23 citizens who were exploring our country, who had defects in the means they used to move or had lost their orientation in different terrains;

- 105 cases of domestic violence were treated legally;

- 25 cases of illegal organization of gambling were dealt with. 6 cars, 1 computer, 1 poker table, 15 televisions, 10 mobile phones used for this activity and sums of money were seized;

- 11 cases of smuggling of various goods were investigated. Gold and silver jewelry, 500 liters of oil, medical medications and other goods, without the accompanying invoices, were seized;

The Traffic Police intensified controls and monitoring in all axes of the country, using smart cars and the logistic base at its disposal, in order to prevent road accidents and ease the movement of road users during the tourist season.

As a result of the checks:

- 221 drivers were arrested, of which 152 for driving while intoxicated and 69 for driving without a driving license;

- 430 driving licenses were suspended, of which 192 for exceeding speed limits, 94 for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and 144 for other violations of the Highway Code, for which this administrative measure is provided.
