He stole the number plates of 12 cars/ The 23-year-old "mat" with a criminal record was caught

A 23-year-old man was arrested by the Tirana police thanks to the coded police operation "Plate number".

The Blues inform that they specifically caught red-handed stealing the license plates of a vehicle, in "Misto Mame", the citizen with the initials JL, a resident of Pogradec, previously convicted for criminal offenses in the field of narcotics, in Belgium.  

From the verifications carried out, it turned out that this citizen, during the day yesterday, stole the number plates of 11 different vehicles, in the area of ??Yzberishti, Misto Mames and Kombinati.  

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the stolen license plates would be sent outside Albania and would be used by other citizens for criminal activities.    

As material evidence, 12 stolen license plates from different countries were seized.    

Work is currently underway to document other thefts that may have been committed by this citizen. 

Meanwhile, the materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further procedural actions./ CNA
