New details have been revealed regarding the revolt of the prisoners in Peqin prison, an event that happened this afternoon.

Sources indicate that the three prisoners, Kastriot Likja, Arlind Daja and Kreshnik Ibraliu, had a verbal conflict between them, which escalated to a physical conflict.

Two guards intervened in order to separate them, but the situation worsened, where the prisoners also hit and raped the guards.

Other prison officials immediately intervened, bringing the situation under control, while for the three prisoners, in addition to being placed in solitary confinement, criminal charges were also brought against them.

More specifically, they are accused of rebellion of convicts and opposition of employees performing state duties.

The three people were arrested and isolated in Peqin prison for domestic violence and theft. /CNA.al
