18-year-old Anri Kashiku

18-year-old Anri Kashiku drowned on Thursday around 12:00 on the beach of Durrës.

He entered the sea to save two 15-year-olds, one of them Ersjani, his brother, while the other was his brother's friend.

Anri first noticed the minors' calls for help and entered the rough sea to rescue them in a small boat. Due to the waves, the boat had difficulties and the 18-year-old man went down to help the minors by swimming.

He was able to save his brother and his friend, but unfortunately he couldn't save himself.

Authorities found Anri's dead body after a few minutes about 20 meters from the shore.

We emphasize that despite the fact that the sea was rough, there was no watch tower or coast guard nearby.
