Transporting passengers and school students while intoxicated/ 53-year-old

The Traffic Police, in cooperation with the Belsh Police Station, has stopped a van driver who was driving while intoxicated, endangering the lives of passengers, including school students.

The intervention was carried out after providing information about the case, while on the Belsh-Gjolene axis, a "Benz Sprinter" vehicle was identified, driven by citizen S. Gj., 53 years old.

During the check, the alcohol test showed that the driver had a level above the permitted limits, with results of 0.68 mg/l and 0.67 mg/l.

The police escorted the driver to the police station, where procedures are being carried out for his arrest in flagrante delicto.

Meanwhile, authorities intervened to ensure the safe continuation of the journey, transporting the students and other passengers in another vehicle.

"The Traffic Police Services, in cooperation with those of the Belsh Police Station, in continuation of their work to guarantee road safety, based on information received that a citizen was driving a van while intoxicated, have intervened immediately.

On the Belsh-Gjolene axis, a "Benz Sprinter" van was found, driven by citizen S. Gj., 53 years old, who was transporting passengers, including school students.

After performing an alcohol test with a measuring device, the driver of the van's blood alcohol level was 0.68 mg/l and 0.67 mg/l.

The driver of the van has been escorted to the Police premises and procedural actions are being carried out for his arrest in flagrante delicto.
