The Traffic Police continues the controls dedicated to the identification and punishment of violators of traffic rules, who are a potential risk for involvement in traffic incidents.  

As a result of the controls, during the last 24 hours, the Traffic Police of Tirana have hit 3 cases of bribery, in order to avoid the administrative measure.

The number of cases of attempts to corrupt the Traffic Police employees, hit during this year, by the Traffic Police of Tirana reaches 15.

During the preventive checks, the services of the Road Police found that the vehicles driven by citizens Xh. D., 62 years old, KC, 28 years old and EP, 21 years old. In order to avoid administrative measures for the committed violations, these citizens have offered different sums of money to Police employees.   

Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings started in free status for these 3 citizens, for the criminal offense "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions". 

The Traffic Police of Tirana appeals to all road users to strictly follow the traffic rules and invites citizens to report any violation of the traffic rules to the free number 112./ CNA.al
