A strong physical conflict with cold weapons took place last midnight at the Regional Hospital of Elbasan, where a citizen tried to kill a 36-year-old man with a sharp tool.

As a result of the police actions, the author of the incident ended up in handcuffs, and the doctor of the hospital where the 36-year-old received treatment was also detained for abuse of office.

The author, identified as Anton Kasa, 65 years old, shot the 36-year-old man in the neck, who has a criminal record.

According to official sources, the Services of the Elbasan Police Station, after receiving the notification that in the "Haxhias" neighborhood, a citizen had injured a 36-year-old man with a cutting tool, immediately organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrator.

As a result of the timely response and quick operational actions and police intelligence, within the coded police operation "Midnight", it became possible to unravel the event, identify, locate, capture and arrest the suspected perpetrator, citizen Anton Kasa, 65 years old, resident in Elbasan.

From the investigative actions, it was found that citizen Anton Kasa, at midnight yesterday, in the "Haxhias" neighborhood, in a drunken state, tried to kill citizen Denis Bardhi, 36 years old, a resident of Elbasan, who went to the hospital for medical assistance.

From the investigative actions, it was found that the doctor on duty, in the hospital where the 36-year-old received treatment, did not record in the medical record any information about the treatments given to the patient. For this reason, the Prosecutor's Office has ordered his detention.

The arrest order of the Prosecutor's Office was executed by the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Elbasan Police Station, who detained the doctor on duty at the hospital where the 36-year-old man received treatment, citizen Klidi Dodi, 32 years old, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty". / CNA
