The police have given new details about the operation in Selitë, where a "grass house" was discovered in a warehouse.

The Blues inform that they have arrested 7 people, including 3 employees of OSHEE.

Another person has also been declared wanted and a 39-year-old woman has been prosecuted for failing to report a crime.

5 citizens with initials ET, Sh. T., AL, EL, and SK, had adapted a tunnel, from the first floor to the second floor of the warehouse, for the cultivation of narcotic plants by means of lamps.

According to the police, OSHEE employees did not find illegal electricity connections in this environment, in the area they were monitoring, while the citizen HD was aware of this criminal activity and did not report it to the competent authorities.

The coded police operation "Tunnel" is finalized, for the attack of criminal activity in the field of cultivation of narcotic plants by means of lamps.

The operation was carried out by Police Station No. 2 in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Sector.

During the operation, an environment adapted for the cultivation of cannabis was discovered, by means of lamps, in a facility where there were illegal electrical connections.

7 citizens are arrested, 3 of them employees of OSHEE.

Services of Police Station No. 2 in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Sector, following the work to prevent, identify and combat criminal activity in the field of narcotics, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Tunnel".

As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested:

- ET, 28 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Theft of electricity or telephone pulses" committed in collaboration, previously convicted in Germany for cultivation of narcotic plants;

- Sh. T., 57 years old, AL, 59 years old, EL, 26 years old, all three residents of Tirana, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Theft of electricity or telephone impulses" committed in cooperation;

- EP, 40 years old, resident in Tirana, responsible for OSHEE's monitoring group, for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty";

- EC, 47 years old, resident in Tirana, working as an electrician at OSHEE for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty";

- G. Gj., 59 years old, resident in Tirana, with the duty of accountant at OSHEE for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty".

The citizen HD, 39 years old, resident in Tirana, was also criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Disobedience of crime".

As part of this operation, SK citizen, 46 years old, resident in Tirana, was declared wanted for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Theft of electricity or telephone impulses" carried out in cooperation.

Citizens ET, Sh. T., AL, EL, and SK, in a warehouse on "Hamdi Pepa" street, had adapted a tunnel, from the first floor to the second floor of the warehouse, for the cultivation of narcotic plants by means of lamps. OSHEE employees did not find illegal electricity connections in this environment, in the area they were monitoring, while the citizen HD was aware of this criminal activity and did not report it to the competent authorities.

During the operation, 193 potted cannabis plants were found and seized (183 of them were destroyed by burning while 10 were sent for further examination), 100 dried plants put in bags, electric lamps, fans, pipes plastic, aspiration equipment, filters, coils and other items used for cultivation of narcotic plants by means of lamps.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana./ CNA
