170 citizens show up at Dibër hospital with signs of poisoning/ Drinking water is suspected as the cause

For more than 3 days, about 170 citizens have been presented to the regional hospital in Dibër with signs of poisoning.

Initially, it is suspected that the poisoning was a result of drinking water, as the patients were mainly from the villages of Kastriot, Arras and Fushë Çidhan Administrative Units, which are supplied by the Saponika water supply.

On the other hand, the case has been confirmed by NJKSH, who inform that they have taken the water samples to analyze them.

The Prefect of the Dibër District has gathered the leaders of the responsible institutions to analyze the situation and, among other things, the Police Directorate of Dibër together with the prosecutor's office have started investigations into the case./ CNA
