The 41-year-old drug trafficker is arrested/ Extradition to Italy is expected

The Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Criminal Police Department in the DPPSh finalized the police operation coded "Operationalja 18". A 41-year-old man announced as wanted internationally as part of the international anti-drug operation codenamed "Tornado" was captured in Durrës.

Following the successive operations for the capture of the persons announced as wanted internationally, developed by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Criminal Police Department of the State Police, another operation has been finalized for this purpose.

As a result of the information provided by the police intelligence and exchanged with the partners in Italy, following the anti-drug operation, coded "Tornado" on the location of an Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted, on behalf of Italy, the Directorate of the Special Operations in the State Police, during the police operation coded "Operational 18", caught in Durrës and put in handcuffs the citizen EL, 41 years old, resident of Manzë, Durrës.
The Court of Brescia / Italy on 29.09.2024 issued a decision "order international arrest" as a suspect for committing the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out within the framework of a criminal organization. Cooperation continues between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, to extradite this citizen to Italy./ CNA
