Tried to take 28 thousand undeclared euros out of Albania/ Citizen prosecuted in

Police today prosecuted a 43-year-old man who attempted to take 28,650 euros out of Albania without declaring it. The amount of money was seized.

The Border Police Services, in order to prevent and combat crimes at the border, at the exit from Albania, conducted a search of the bag of citizen FR, where 28,650 euros were found, which this citizen had not declared in accordance with the law.

Following the procedural actions in the case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state, for the criminal offense of "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border", for the citizen FR, 43 years old, resident of Tirana. Also, the amount of euros was seized as material evidence. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, for further action. /CNA
