Wanted by Interpol/ 2 Albanians arrested in Germany

The State Police finalized today a police operation in cooperation with German partners. The operation was codenamed "Exchange 2", from which the internationally wanted citizens were located and captured.

A citizen was arrested in Germany, accused of repeatedly selling cocaine in his bar in Pogradec in 2022. Another citizen, convicted as an accomplice for a theft committed in Paskuqan in 2023, was also arrested during the operation.

As part of the operation, the German Police located and provisionally arrested, with the aim of extradition to Albania, citizens BS, 44 years old, and K. Gj., 20 years old.

In 2022, the Korça Court assigned the 44-year-old the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", as it is suspected that he has repeatedly sold the narcotic substance Cocaine in his bar in Pogradec.

In 2024, the Tirana Court sentenced the 20-year-old to 6 months in prison for theft.

Cooperation continues between the homologous structures of Interpol to finalize the procedures for the extradition of 2 citizens to Albania. /CNA
