Murder of Palestinian woman in Tirana / Her father confirmed as perpetrator

The investigation team into the murder of the young Palestinian woman Rayyan Alwan a few days ago in Tirana has officially confirmed today that the suspected perpetrator of her murder, Fadi Alwan, is her biological father, dispelling previous suspicions that they were a couple.

The 24-year-old's father, Fadi Alwan, is reported to have fled to Lebanon and Interpol is working to locate and arrest him.

Albanian authorities still do not have a clear reason for the reasons that led the 49-year-old father to plan to kill his daughter. For this reason, contact with other family members is urgently required so that they can be questioned.

The incident occurred on February 27 on the third floor of a building located near unit number 10 in Tirana, on "Gjon Muzaka" street. /CNA
