Pedestrian hit and killed in Durres/Driver arrested

The State Police has issued a preliminary announcement regarding the accident that occurred a few minutes ago in Durrës.

The police statement states that the victim was 65-year-old SA.

The announcement also states that the driver MH was arrested in flagrante delicto.

"On the Manzë-Kthesa e Ariut road segment, a vehicle driven by citizen M. H, hit the pedestrian citizen S. A, about 65 years old, who lost his life at the scene. The Police Services have arrested citizen MH in flagrante delicto. The investigative group is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances and cause of the accident ," the announcement says. / CNA
