The police have arrested a 41-year-old man who tried to burn a vehicle and the facade of a supermarket with fuel.

It is about the citizen with the initials Gj. D., 41 years old, resident in the village of Stajkë, in Vaun e Deja.

On February 15, he threw a bottle of fuel towards the facade of the supermarket with administrator citizen LM, 41 years old. Fortunately, no damage was caused by this action.

Also, on February 17, the 41-year-old man threw a bottle of fuel in the direction of the "Benz" type vehicle, owned by BS citizen, 49 years old.  

"He tried to burn with fuel, a vehicle and the facade of a supermarket, thanks to in-depth investigative actions, the suspected author of these cases was identified and arrested.

A 41-year-old man is put in handcuffs. 

As a result of in-depth investigative actions to clarify 2 cases of attempted destruction of property by fire, which occurred in the last few days, the crime investigation specialists of the Vau i Deja Police Station made it possible to identify, capture and arrest the perpetrator suspect, citizens Gj. D., 41 years old, resident of Stajkë village. 

This citizen is suspected that on 15.02.2024, he threw a bottle of fuel towards the facade of the supermarket with administrator citizen LM, 41 years old, resident of Shkodër, without causing any damage.

Also, on 17.02.2024, he threw a bottle of fuel in the direction of the "Benz" type vehicle, owned by citizen BS, 49 years old, resident of Shelqet village.  

Investigative work continues to clarify other cases of destruction of property, which may have been committed by this citizen. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Shkodër, for further actions," the police announcement states./ CNA
