Quarrel in Pogradec/ 63-year-old man shoots a person with a knife, his peer dies

A conflict with tragic consequences was registered this afternoon, around 17:50, in the village of Gështenjas in Pogradec.

Two people clashed for unknown reasons and the fight degenerated into the use of cold weapons.

The 63-year-old man with the initials FM shot the SH citizen, about 65 years old, with a knife. The latter was immediately sent to Pogradec Hospital, but unfortunately he died as a result of his injuries.

The author has left the scene, while the police are looking for him.

"On 07.09.2022, around 17:50, in the village of Gështenjas, Pogradec, during a conflict, the FM citizen, 63 years old, allegedly injured the SH citizen, about 65 years old, with a cutting tool (knife), who was transported in Pogradec Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

On the part of the Police, the area is being combed in order to catch the perpetrator and bring him to legal responsibility.

The investigative group is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the event," the police announcement states./ BA - CNA.al
