Ekrem Rexhepi, the 26-year-old suspected of raping an 11-year-old girl, was physically attacked by prisoners in the detention center in Pristina.

Ekrem Rexhepi has been transferred to the High Security Prison in Dyz of Podujeva. This has been confirmed by his lawyer, Fitim Limani.

He said that last night he was informed about this transfer, he confirmed that he was attacked by the prisoners.

“Gjendja e tij s’është e mirë, mbrëmë kam marrë informatë prej gjykatës që ai ndodhet në burgun e Sigurisë së Lartë, është transferuar nga Prishtina pasi ka qenë i sulmuar nga të burgosurit e tjerë. Transferimi ka ndodh meqenëse i është rrezikuar edhe jeta, për shkak të sulmeve që ka pasur nga të burgosurit e tjerë, ia kanë ndërru pra qendrën e paraburgimit”,  tha avokati.

Avokati bëri me dije që klienti i tij ka refuzuar të flasë për ti treguar se si ka ndodhur rasti.

“Rasti është i ndejshëm dhe i mbrojturi im pasi jam konsultuar me të nuk ka pranuar të flas, ai ska dhënë ndonjë deklaratë ka refuzu me fol dhe nuk e di versionin e tij qysh ka ndodhur rasti. Nuk e kam takuar në qendrën e paraburgimit mirëpo kam qenë në seancën dëgjimore”, tha ai për Insajderin.

Limani added for Insajderi that the rape suspect was subjected to gynecological tests to understand if he had sexual relations with the 11-year-old suspect.

"He was given gynecological tests as the main evidence to see if he had sexual relations with a person or not. We are waiting until the prosecution starts the investigations", he cried until he pointed out that they have not received any other evidence from the prosecution up to this point of the case. /CNA.al
