A Serb, an Albanian, an Ecuadorian linked to Jezdimir Srdan's drug network

Although already sentenced to 10 years in prison, Serbian citizen Jezdimir Srdan faces a second criminal trial for organized crime. The case began in September 2025 after Srdan and 10 others were arrested in a drug trafficking ring transporting cocaine from Ecuador to Europe.

Almost three months later, the Prosecutor's Office linked four more individuals: Billa P., of Albanian and Ecuadorian nationality; Uros K., of Serbian and Ecuadorian nationality; and Wellington C. and Miguel A., both Ecuadorians.

According to the court filing, the investigation focused on suspected cocaine shipments from Ecuador to Europe between 2020 and 2021. The individuals involved used a subscription messaging app. France intercepted the communication streams of 70,000 users, yielding a million messages that led to police investigations, as highlighted by foreign media outlet Ecuavisa.

One of these investigations identified criminal activities linked to Ecuador, which served as a transit point for drugs from Colombia, transported by air and sea in containers. Among the messages, in addition to identifying the alias Brate (Jezdimir Srdan), were also Odin (already arrested and prosecuted) and the aliases Negro, Flaco, Hermano, Colo and Tío.

The investigation determined that between 2020 and 2021, they were part of a criminal network with operations in Belgium and the Netherlands. The prosecution, at the indictment hearing against the other Serb, the Albanian and the two Ecuadorians, detailed that there were conversations regarding suspected shipments of cocaine blocks labeled HH, as well as reports of seizures of illegal goods in Europe.
