Shot neighbor with shotgun/ 42-year-old arrested in Librazhd

A 42-year-old man was arrested today in Librazhd after firing a shotgun into the air during a conflict with his neighbor over property rights.

The hunting weapon used by the 42-year-old and combat ammunition were seized.   

Immediately after the announcement that in the village of Gizavesht, a citizen had fired a shotgun into the air, the Librazhd Police Commissariat services went to the scene, with the aim of preventing a possible criminal incident and arresting the perpetrator.

As a result of rapid operational actions, citizen S. Xh., 42 years old, was caught red-handed and put in handcuffs. 

This citizen is suspected of having fired a shotgun into the air to threaten his neighbor, citizen H. Xh., 80 years old, in the village of Gizavesht, during a conflict over property rights. 

No citizens were injured in the shooting.   

The hunting weapon and a quantity of combat ammunition, which were possessed without permission, were seized as material evidence.       

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for further action. /CNA
