Protest of residents in Zvërnec/ Police: 2 employees and 15 participants

The rally organized by residents of the village of Zvërnec in the place called "Portonovë", to oppose the implementation of a construction project by a private company, has ended with measures against several people.

As reported by the Vlora Local Police Directorate, criminal proceedings have been initiated against 17 citizens in total, including two employees of a private security company, more specifically citizens GV, 41 years old, and AG, 35 years old, both residents of Tirana.

15 other citizens, participants in the rally, were also prosecuted, who are suspected of having committed violent acts with the aim of breaking the construction site's fence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for the criminal offenses of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations", "Destruction of property" and "Intentional minor injury". /CNA
