The head of the Traffic Section in Elbasan is suspended from duty

The Elbasan Police have suspended the head of the Traffic Section, Commissioner OM, from duty after the denunciation broadcast on the investigative show "Stop" on TV Klan, where a citizen denounced his abuse of office.

According to the complaint, the boss had asked the citizen for money on two occasions, once for the motorcycle and once for the car.  

"Regarding the case broadcast on the investigative show "Stop", which dealt with a suspected case of abuse of office by the Traffic Chief at the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, we would like to inform you that:

The police officer, Commissioner OM, acting as Head of the Traffic Section at the Elbasan Police Department, has been immediately suspended from duty, pending the conclusion of the administrative and criminal investigation.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Professional Standards at the General Directorate of the State Police, based on article 121, point d, of Law No. 82, year 2024, "On the State Police", has immediately launched an administrative investigation.

Regarding the case, we are cooperating with the AMP, since we are in the conditions of suspicion of the commission of a criminal offense by the Police employee, OM, where the Police Supervision Agency has launched a criminal investigation, in cooperation with the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office", the police announce./ CNA
