A 54-year-old man was arrested by the police yesterday evening after causing an accident resulting in one victim on the "Gjirokastër-Tepelën" axis.

The police report that the 52-year-old man hit a 62-year-old pedestrian, who died as a result of the accident.

"Following the preliminary information given yesterday evening, for a road accident on the axis "Gjirokastër-Tepelën", we inform you that the Road Traffic Specialists arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Violation of the rules of road traffic", citizen EM, 54 years old, resident of Gjirokastër, after the vehicle he was driving hit the pedestrian HM citizen, 62 years old, resident of Tirana, who lost her life as a result of the collision.
