The head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Altin Dumani, held a meeting today with the General Prosecutor of the Netherlands, Mrs. Sue Preenen and her team, during their visit to SPAK. The two sides underlined the importance of cooperation and its deepening in the common fight against organized crime and corruption.

mr. Dumani welcomed the achievements so far, which have created a strong foundation in addressing issues and advancing joint investigations between Albania and the Netherlands. Mrs. Preenen described the successful work and results achieved by SPAK in a short time since the establishment of this institution as impressive.

During the meeting, they also talked about the common challenges and the identification of the most efficient methods for the mutual and rapid exchange of data that will help the joint investigation teams, in the confiscation and sequestration of criminal assets.

Meetings of this level help to strengthen joint efforts against organized crime, which exceeds the borders of the respective countries, as well as help to increase capacities and legal transparency.
