The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana sends the former President of the Order

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana completed the investigations and sent to court the ND citizen accused of the crime of 'Misuse of duty' provided by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.

The investigations carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 1630 of 2024, proved that the citizen in question, in the capacity of the President of the Order of Dentists, allowed the employment of his family members without criteria, in order to manipulate the decision-making of the National Council from 2016 .

From the investigation, it turned out that with his actions/inactions, the ND citizen created a "climate of private possession" by concentrating in his hands the functions of the regional councils, either in terms of administering the budget of the dental order at the district level, or in terms of pertains to the licensed equipment of dentists for individual practice of the profession.

In flagrant violation of court decisions and legal provisions, through the structures of the Order of Dentists, he continued his activity even though he was suspended from office, taking important decisions such as the purchase of a building worth 700,000 euros with an area of ??350m2 and obtaining a loan of 250,000 euros for the purpose of 'purchasing premises'.

With his actions, the ND citizen violated the very purpose of law no. 127/2014, which is to regulate the legal and ethical-professional relationship of dentists, as well as created a climate of "private ownership" by concentrating in his hands the functions of the councils regional in terms of the administration of the budget at the district level or the equipment with license of dentists for individual exercise of the profession.

Despite the fact that he was taken as a defendant and is currently in court proceedings accused of Article 320 of the Criminal Code in another proceeding, he has taken active actions in abuse of office for further concentration of powers in his hands by using the structures of the USSH .

As mentioned above, the prosecutor's office decided to send the case to trial as the accusation and the fact are fully proven for the crime provided for by Article 197 of the Criminal Code./ CNA
