Patient lost his life/Negligible procedure initiated against Fier Hospital doctor

A doctor at Fier Hospital has been criminally prosecuted, as it is suspected that a patient lost his life as a result of negligence during medical treatment.

Proceedings were initiated against citizen BB, 56 years old, while she was still at large.

On October 30 of this year, patient AZ, 63 years old, lost his life in this hospital.

"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Fier Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated in the absence of citizen BB, 56 years old, resident of Fier, with medical duties at the Fier Hospital, as it is suspected that as a result of negligence during medical treatment, on 30.10.2025, citizen AZ, 63 years old, lost his life in this hospital," the announcement says. /CNA
